Young Endeavour Nominations

The Upper Hunter Shire Young Endeavour Scheme 2008 nominations have closed with a total of twenty-seven (27) young people from the Upper Hunter Shire being nominated. Four (4) nominees, two (2) male and two (2) female will be drawn at the Celebration Dinner Thursday, 18 September at Club Scone to participate in the 10 day ‘Voyage of a Lifetime' from Adelaide to Geelong, departing on 2 December 2008.

This year nominations have been received from all areas of the Shire; Aberdeen, Blandford, Cassilis, Ellerston, Gundy, Merriwa, Parkville, Rouchel, Scone and Wingen.

Community members wishing to attend the dinner can book by contacting Jodie Phelps on 6540 1142 on or before 9 September 2008. Tickets are $25 per person.

The sponsorship drive for 2008 stands at $8,015 and efforts are continuing to raise the additional funds required to send the four lucky recipients on the voyage. Total sponsorship required $16,500.
