2009 Scone & Upper Hunter Horse Festival invites community to get involved

Planning for a packed program of events for the 2009 Scone and Upper Hunter Horse Festival from May 1 to 17 is well underway, with committee president Joan Shaw urging residents to get involved in the region's flagship event.
"The horse festival needs more people to come along and help with the running for the festival," she said.
"It has become a big event for Scone in May of each year, and as the old saying goes, many hands make light work."
The next committee meeting is at 6pm at the Upper Hunter Shire Council chambers on Wednesday March 4.
"We are all too aware that people have many restrictions on their time, but if people are willing to offer a little, or a lot, we'd be thrilled to welcome new faces on board as we continue to grow our festival," she said.
