Cultural Activity Grants

Applications are currently being invited for the Upper Hunter Shire Council 2009/10 Cultural Activity Grants
Upper Hunter Shire Council is committed to promoting and developing cultural/art resources and activities in the community on a broad and/or specific need basis. The aims of the Cultural Activity Grant program are to:
- Promote the better use of local cultural/art resources: both physical and organisational, to meet priority needs;
- Aid cooperation and co-ordination between all agencies involved in community cultural development;
- Develop community organisational skills from a cultural perspective;
- Increase awareness of cultural/art needs and issues;
- Increase the provision of cultural activities, especially during local festivals/events;
- Promote the equitable distribution of resources amongst competing groups.
Incorporated non profit community based organisations from within the Upper Hunter LGA will be eligible to receive funding grants.
Applications close Friday, 6 November 2009.
