Land Use Planning
This division is responsible for all aspects of considering and implementing the requirements of local, regional and state planning legislation. Council offers and provides advice regarding development matters in the early stages to allow issues and requirements to be identified and incorporated into the proposal. All forms of advice are provided regularly to clients on all planning matters. Council's Geographic Information Service (a computer based mapping system - MapInfo) has proved to be very beneficial in various land use planning activities.
